Another ensemble I so need to try, from our friend Teresa. This is a really nice way to work in a button-up with a more casual outfit. And I love those blue suede sneakers she’s wearing — way more low key than your usual athletic sneakers. A similar alternative to UO are the PF Flyers Center Lo Suede.

The perfect outfit doesn’t just look good; it also says something. This outfit says I’m classy yet relaxed, with the brown suede shoes and elbow patches, collared shirt, and jeans. Suede, though now easy to come by, used to be a form of luxury. The term originated in France in the late 1850’s over a particular type of soft glove imported from Sweden.
