Diana Apsara is a Parisian trans-fem model and artist-designer. Inspired by the anti-fashion movement, her designs are mainly recycled and upcycled. After she experienced discrimination from the parisian fashion sphere due to her coming out as a trans model, Diana founded Classy X design in early 2018: an ethical, LGBTQ+ & plus-size inclusive fashion project. Diana aims to create a more inclusive and diverse space in the fashion world.

Where did you grow up & where do you live now?
I grew up in the suburbs of Paris. I love traveling, I'm kind of nomadic parisian.

How do you think your friends would define your style?
My friends would define my style as "sexychic," glam, and rock. A mix of many styles merged together. One day a good friend said that I am "a kind of parisian gypsy-queer-queen... in a black dress "... why not!

What’s your favorite item in your wardrobe?
My fetish accesories are my gypsy creole earrings because I'm mixed French and Roma (romani gypsy from Hungary & Romania). It reminds me of my grand mother's style, my origins. It's almost like a lucky charm. I can never have too much of this jewelry.

What’s your biggest style challenge?
To not change my outfit five times before going out.

Who’s your style icon?
Jean Paul Gaultier is a living icon of a more subversive and mainstream fashion at the same time. That is a challenge.

At his beginnings Brian Molko was incredible: his style dark and glamorous, his androgyny and his nonchalance sounded like a freedom space for me during my teenage hood.

Vivienne Westwood is such a terrible queen.
Lidewij Edelkoort is clearly a fashion ambassador from the future. She is an icon. Undeniably.
