My latest crush and spiritual muse has just released her epic new EP, “God, Again”. The 9-track albums blends poetry with hip-hop, rap, rock, opera, jazz, and R&B, and contemporary sounds with artists Zakiyyah, Jelani "Axestrumentals" Haynes, and Yac Marvelous.

Amanda is the voice of a generation saddled by trauma, but not broken. Her voice speaks for all of us in some way.

Exploring themes of suffering and redemption, Amanda’s EP takes the listener on a journey through addiction, sexual assault, loss, generational trauma and into joy as she reclaims her personhood and liberates herself through the gift of gab.

“My journey, no matter how ugly, light shines through,” she asserts. 

Amanda’s pen heals not just herself but her community. Much of Amanda’s career involves giving back. As a frequent open mic host, she creats safe spaces for people like myself to tell our stories and find community. 

“Welcome to my congregation. Where my pen draws out all my traumas. No need to pull me into the pulpit. I pen my own liberation to help my brothers and sisters heal.”

The alum is dedicated to her husband, father of her youngest child, and life love Tim.
