Re-vamp by XOXOtine: Bespoke Handmade Fashion
I own a small business called Re-vamp by xoxoxtine, whereby I create bespoke handmade items from existing and new materials. Revamp is a platform of creative art and handicraft where possibilities are endless; my creativity is a direct translation from brain to hand. If I think it, I make it.
The ability to be creative was always there before I could understand this gift, let alone build the courage to share it with the rest of the world. It took one phenomenal human two years to make me see that what I create needs to be shared with the world and I should not hide my talent.
At first I didn't view it as something I can monetize because it was a belief system instilled in me from a very young age that anything ART is "useless." As a child, my father would beat me for drawing or venturing into anything artistic. He was a physically abusive man and we had to focus on academics only. My gift could not be suppressed and it kept spilling over in various aspects of my life — the way I view life, my style, my inspirations and so much more... Until one day someone noticed and kept on insisting for 2 years. The timing of it all is impeccable. Circumstances occurred that put a pause in my health-care career, "when you thought you had your next 5 years planned at age 23" until the universe shows you even greater plans. Thankfully due to these circumstances and beliefs from loved ones I was able to believe in myself and take on the journey.
I feel that Re-vamp was a medium for me to rekindle with my childlike essence, the creativity began then and it was frowned upon and discouraged. This was a step towards rising and healing, embracing and owning my gift, empowering myself and others.

He is representing our LGBTQ+ family with so much grace, elegance and charisma. We had an opportunity to adorn Kyla Cox and walk alongside for the pageant competition: Miss and Mr. Pride Cape Town 2020 and she was crowned Miss personality 2020. He is an expressionist, an advocate for spiritual and physical well-being. He expresses his individuality and positivity with every stride he makes. His authenticity is inspiring!
